Our Red Dot: Time Marked in Stone (NAT Art Residence - 06/2023)

My works capture the essence of the ancestral lines found in the caves of Cantabria, fused with the spontaneity created by the interaction with the sea. Art infused with history engraved in stone meets the fluidity and transformation that only seawater can provide, creating a visual experience that connects the past with the present, inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in an emotional and sensory journey.

Epilogue

I was moved

It still moves me

I felt very free walking through that area

The caves shocked me

The lines on the stones that mark the movements of our ancestors

How much wisdom

How much to learn

How much mystery

The writing (Traces - 10/2021)

I write in pencil, in cursive and I feel my chest expand when I observe them carefully throughout the days.

They have been with me for a long time, years, months, days, hours, minutes, seconds.

Looking at them every day there are incredible transformations, permanent births that reach my heart and expand it.

I get closer, I move away, I go through them, when I take a few steps back diagonally to her I see another transformation of color, size, shape. I am discovering wonderful shades.

The materiality and its profound change moves me until I feel it like it has never happened to me before.

More days that I observe and write, the color is not there, I accept, I approach and observe a new rebirth, I walk to the left and there the colors explode, I am not alone.

The observation and the tour is joint.

I pause, the stillness, the observation that makes a connection with my writing hand without thinking.

I connect with the writing and the pencil, I look up and continue to observe them, more transformations continue to appear. I am also observed, along the way I see these transformations in myself.

I decide to leave that space. I take my pad, my pencil and start to climb stairs, I return to another space.

I sit down, I keep seeing them, I turn the page, my hand keeps writing cursive and fast, I keep seeing them from another angle, all of a sudden, colors fall from the sky that prevent me from continuing, but now I keep seeing the yellow rain that lasts a long time, falls sharply.

When I write again I continue to observe the transformation that will surely be infinite. Finitude exists as in this writing. Finitude-infinity.

I go out with my pad and my pencil to follow the path of observation and connection.

Text on Video

I write – I feel – I observe – Years – Months – Days – Hours – Minutes – Seconds – I look – I accept – I see – I travel – I change – I transform

I feel, I keep seeing it, I change the page, my hand continues to write cursive and very fast. I continue to see it from another angle, suddenly colors fall from the sky that prevent me from continuing but I continue, now, seeing the yellow rain that lasts a long time, falls intensely, when I write again, I continue observing the transformation, which will surely be infinite. The finitude is in this text, I go out with my pad and my pencil to follow the path of observation and connection.
