Online Residency for development and production of work
Traces is an online Residency, which is carried out through a digital platform, personally directed by Andrea Juan and Gabriel Penedo Diego.
The Residency is for the development and production of a new project, which will begin during the first meeting. No prior ideas or proposals are necessary.
It is aimed at artists of all disciplines and passionate individuals who wish to embark on an artistic experience.
The project will be generated during the residency and finalized after the five meetings. Post-production adjustments may be made, if necessary, but the goal is to conclude the Residency, by the fifth meeting, with the project completed, including its title and text.
Introduction
The first artists found their "project" in the deep observation of the nature that surrounded them.
That project involved telling what they wanted in a different language, one never used before.
They had little or no prior knowledge of techniques to carry it out, but they had sensitivity, passion, and the determination to do it.
Desire and passion led them to find the tools, the space, and to make it happen.
In the same way, in Traces, we want you to find your project through a deep connection with nature and with your desire and effort, you transform it, at the end of the Residency, into work.
The triggering event for the birth of your project will be about finding an intense emotion, something you want to say, something you need to express irresistibly, and that will be the starting point of your new project.
You can work in any artistic discipline and with any aesthetic language. We will try to get you out of your comfort zone and to experiment with new materials and languages.

Objective
That you develop a new project and transform it into a work.
The Residency will focus on:
· Breaking the theoretical framework
· Leave preconceptions and limits behind
· Where do ideas come from? What is an artwork?
· How to put together a project
· Selection of materials and elements
· Support your idea
· Develop a solid presentation
· Statement and title of the project
· How to carry out your proposal
· Final presentation of the works
Work methodology
In our first meeting, we will introduce you about the origins of art, specifically rock art, showcasing works dating from between 40,000 and 10,000 years ago, and providing a brief overview of our origins on Earth.
We view Palaeolithic art as a catalyst for a new beginning, a metaphor for starting a project from scratch, just as our ancestors did.
We will talk about the creation, start and development of projects, ideas and thoughts. We will know each other.
In the successive meetings, each participant will present their proposals and the progress of the work. Comments on them will be permanent and immediate to be able to adjust the project and the development of the work until the end of the residency, where you will present your work, solid, with its statement and title.
Modality
The residency consists of 5 (five) weekly meetings of two hours and will be held in English through a digital platform.
The maximum number of participants is 5 (five), in order to dedicate the necessary time to each member.

You will have the option of tutoring through WhatsApp in case you need it.
In addition
· We will incorporate you, with a selection of the works made, their title and statement, with your own page, in Spanish and English, to the "Artists" section of Circle Pro Art https://www.circleproart.com/en-gb/artistas
· Artists and their works may be selected for future exhibitions organize by us.
