Mimi Godoy
Visual artist, Psychoanalyst. Born in ARGENTINA and currently residing in SPAIN.
Her works are largely intimately related to nature, especially the plant world, always reflecting her commitment to environmental stewardship.
She participated in “Caminos,” a call for entries by SMCircle Pro Art Cantabria, March 2026.
She participated in the solo exhibition “Tramando sueños” (Weaving Dreams), November 2025, in Denia, and in other group exhibitions in Spain and Argentina.
Selected for the Salerno Biennial, Italy, October 2025. She received 2nd Prize in the Eco-Sustainable Textile Category.
She participated in the NAT Art Residency (June/July 2025) in Cantabria, Spain.
It is worth noting that she participated in the SMCircle ProArt “Huellas” Seminar (June 2023), Cantabria. In Spain, she ventured into textiles. Along these lines, she also conducted workshops on printing with plant-based techniques and eco-painting.
She attended several painting workshops.
She participated in the solo exhibition “The Other Tree” and group exhibitions in Argentina.

How dare I open doors if it's not my home!
Just because someone extends an invitation,
doesn't mean the visit will actually happen.
It's not my home,
it was,
it was mine,
roots intertwined,
it was my parents',
roots of other roots.
I'm in transit, in stages,
I'm still leaving.
I'm saying what I didn't say, but I did.
A lump in my throat, a tear, two, and more…
Opening is not the same as closing.
Leaving is not the same as staying.
The place doesn't matter when it comes to saying goodbye to what was…
And… to open myself up and dream… to keep dreaming.

A Pearl in the Forest (Traces - 06/2023)
My usual company... the trees, I could look at them carefully or close my eyes to feel the freshness of their leaves as well as the roughness of their trunks.
Suddenly something new emerged as a protagonist: the root, the roots... I continued to be surprised by the appearance of that was hidden, unseen or ignored.
The roots asked me to dialogue….
The possibilities of light and color gave me exquisite images of what was not in sight. Disfiguring and coloring are just some of the ways to approach what is revealed.
Still taken by the spell, I discover the infinite and wonderful of creation and art.
…unique memories…strands of life…words…a pearl… …weave…text…light…color…desire…
A memory can be a precious finding.
A tapestry can cover me if I'm cold.
What is not seen
It all depends on the color of the glass you look at it with.
