Alicia Rodriguez

I was born in Buenos Aires in 1960.
Photography captures me since I was a kid by the hand and gaze of my father. My technical training focuses on the Fotoclub Buenos Aires, the Andy Goldstein School of Creative Photography and the "Daniel Wagner School of Photography"
I studied Photo editing in Lightroom and Photoshop with photographers Claudio Scheinkman, Horacio Frende, and Victor Janota.
I participated in several group exhibitions in the city of Buenos Aires and was selected to exhibit in the "Environment and Wetlands" Photographic Exhibition at the National Secretariat for the Environment and Sustainable Development (June 2014)
I explored travel photography and portraits in workshops directed by photographers Carlos “Chino” Albertoni, Nicholás Tinelli and Hugo Lorenzo.
In September 2019 I took part in Art in the Origin, an Art experience in Cantabria directed by Andrea Juan and Gabriel Penedo Diego.
I Trascend (Art in the Origin - 2019)

Eternal time since my origin
Until now,
In this immensity,
among fragments…
here I am,
entire…
Identifying my shadow,
Shedding my skin,
removing pain splinters one at a time.
I pass through the turbulences when mutating
and discover my light
reflected in my trascendence.

During the project I went through a vital experience that unmasked mandates, beliefs and/or fictions about life, what escapes from memory, what fades away in the urgency of day to day life. In the process, I intended to remove the domination of rationality, in face of the imposing of intuition and emotions, to be essentialy free, getting rid of prejudices, finding in my own origin, not only the limitanting beliefs, but also those which have empowered me to surpass myself.
